Industrial screw piling delivers engineered foundations at production speed: steel piles wound in by hydraulic drive heads, each one verified against its design load by torque monitoring as it is installed. For commercial and civil projects that means no excavation program, no concrete cure time on the critical path, no spoil to cart off site, and installation that continues through weather that stops concrete work dead. Core Screw Piling installs commercial and industrial screw piles across South East Queensland and, for larger volumes, regional Queensland. For the method itself, see our guide to how screw piling works.
Commercial building foundations
Offices, retail, warehouses, childcare centres, medical suites: commercial builds run on programs where a week lost in the ground costs real money. Screw piles compress the foundation stage from weeks to days because there is no bulk excavation, no formwork cycle and no cure time. Piles are loaded the day they are installed.
- Installed straight from the structural engineer's footing layout and load schedule.
- Piles for slab-on-cap, raft, waffle and suspended floor systems.
- Full torque and depth logs for every pile, delivered with the certification package.
- Clean sites: no spoil handling, no concrete washout, minimal traffic movements.
Civil and infrastructure piling
Boardwalks, pedestrian bridges, signage gantries, light poles, pump stations, telecoms and utility structures: civil works constantly need reliable point foundations in places concrete struggles to reach. Screw piles are installed by compact plant, in parkland, on foreshores, beside live roads and in environmentally sensitive corridors where excavation is restricted or prohibited.
Because piles can be removed and reused, they are also the standard answer for temporary civil structures and staged works.
Solar and renewable energy piling
Screw piles are a common foundation for ground-mount solar and renewable structures: rapid installation rates, no concrete logistics in regional locations, verified capacity on every pile, and clean removal at end of project life. Where a project calls for it, we can install to a solar mounting layout and coordinate pull-out and lateral load testing with your engineer.
Industrial plant and temporary works
Conveyor supports, pipe racks, tank stands, plant platforms, site offices and camp infrastructure: industrial and resources projects use screw piles both for permanent foundations and for temporary works where recoverability matters. A foundation that installs in minutes, carries certified load immediately, and extracts without demolition changes the economics of temporary infrastructure.
For builders and trade
A large share of our work comes from builders who want the foundation stage to just happen: quoted fast, installed on the day booked, certified without chasing. Here is how we work in with you:
- Quotes from drawings. Send the footing plan and load schedule and you get a price, normally within two business days, with no hidden allowances.
- Program reliability. Piling is first on site; if it slips, everything slips. We book firm dates and hit them, and wet weather rarely stops us.
- One point of contact. Owner-operated: the person who priced your job is on the machine, and answers the phone.
- Paperwork without chasing. Torque logs, installation records and engineer certification (Form 12 support) delivered at handover, formatted for your certifier.
- Repeat-work pricing. Builders running multiple jobs a year with us get volume rates and priority booking.
How commercial and industrial screw piling works
From drawings to a certified foundation, this is the sequence for a commercial, civil or solar project.
Send your drawings
Footing plan and load schedule, or raw structural loads if you need a design-and-construct quote.
Your quote, fast
Priced from your drawings, normally back within two business days, with no hidden allowances.
Program-matched install
Booked to your dates. Installation continues through weather that stops concrete work dead.
Torque-verified on every pile
Depth and torque logged continuously and checked against the engineer's specified design load.
Certification delivered
Installation records supporting Form 12 sign-off, formatted and handed over ready for your certifier.
Capability and compliance
- QBCC Licence 15036577: in partnership with Screw Piling QLD, licensed foundation work, verifiable on the QBCC register.
- Fully insured with public liability cover appropriate for commercial sites; certificates of currency supplied with tender submissions.
- Design coordination: we install to RPEQ designs under AS 2159 and can introduce piling-experienced engineers where the design is not yet done.
- Verification: calibrated torque monitoring on every pile, with static or pull-out load testing arranged where the specification calls for it.
- Safety: SWMS and site-specific inductions as standard; we work in with principal contractor safety systems on live sites.
If part of your project is better served by a different foundation system, we will tell you at tender, not at variation time. Our guide covers when screw piles are the wrong choice, and that honesty applies to commercial work just as much.
Commercial FAQs
What loads can screw piles carry?
Standard commercial screw piles carry working loads from tens to hundreds of kilonewtons each, and higher demands are met with larger shafts, multiple helices or pile groups. Capacity is specified by the engineer and verified by torque correlation on installation, per AS 2159.
Can you meet a compressed program?
That is usually why we get the call. Screw piling removes excavation, formwork and cure time from the critical path, and installation continues in weather that shuts down concrete work. Tell us your dates and we will tell you honestly whether we can hold them.
Do you travel to regional Queensland?
Yes. For larger volumes we mobilise across regional Queensland, including Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Airlie Beach. Mobilisation is priced transparently as its own line in the quote.
Who supplies the pile design?
Either way works: we install to your structural engineer's design, or for design-and-construct arrangements we bring in piling-experienced RPEQ engineers to produce the footing design from your structural loads.
